Mahama kicks off #BuildingGhanaTour with the TUC.

2023-11-06

John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will start his Building Ghana Tour engagements on Tuesday with an interaction with the Trades Union Congress of Ghana.

The TUC is the largest organised labour group in Ghana, with a mission to unite all workers of Ghana into an independent and democratic organisation for improved working and living conditions through collective action, solidarity, and social partnership based on the principles of fairness and justice.

As a social democratic party, the NDC aligns with the objectives of the labour union. According to the party, Tuesday's engagement will be another opportunity for Mahama to listen to their policy expectations, and discuss and lay bare some of the policy interventions the party is considering to revive the dying economy.

Last week, Mr Mahama announced that he would be going around the country to engage Ghanaians ahead of his 2024 presidential campaign.

The tour, according to Joyce Mogtari, Special Aide to Mahama, "will serve as a platform for Mahama to meet and interact with Ghanaians from all walks of life, supporters, and sympathisers of the NDC."

She added that the tour will begin a transformative journey aimed at connecting with supporters and spreading hope.
